Hugo Duncan, our very own wee man from Strabane, is one of Northern Ireland’s most popular personalities. If he’s not presenting his weekday afternoon show on Radio Ulster, he’s spending time with other country music lovers on BBC television’s Hugo and Friends, or hosting a Sunday afternoon on BBC Radio Foyle. Hugo still finds time for his career as a professional country singer, touring the length and breadth of Ireland. In previous series Hugo was thrown off a donkey at Killeter Fair, and nearly lost his trousers in Irvinestown. Here’s hoping Hugo will have a smoother ride this year - although he knows that when it comes to Town Challenge, anything can happen.
