Pat Caputo, joined AM 1270 The Sports Station in May 2002. He currently hosts “The Book on Baseball” Mondays from 7pm to 8pm and various weekend programming. Caputo has been nicknamed "The Book" because of his knowledge for sports. Caputo started his career in 1984 at the Oakland Press as a beat writer covering the Lions, Tigers, and Michigan Basketball and Football. In the late 80’s and 90’s, he made regular appearances on WDIV’s "Tigers Round Table" and hosted “Caputo’s Corner” a 15-minute segment that aired during Detroit Tigers broadcasts on the cable channel PASS. In 1996, he worked at WDFN as the host of "Pro Football Sunday", "College Football Today", and "In the Dugout". He was later named the Senior Sports Reporter and Columnist for the Oakland Press. Throughout his career, Caputo has received awards from the Michigan Press Association, the Michigan Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Associated Press.
