Radio Slovakia International was created in 1993, with the emergence of independent Slovakia, its duty being to give other countries information about Slovakia and to keep contact with the numerous expatriate communities. Its programmes are broadcast in English, German, French, Russian and in Slovak for expatriates. The 30-minutes magazines broadcast daily contain news from Slovakia, features on Slovak economy, sciences, culture, geography, environment, sports, examples of verbal and musical arts and portraits of important personalities. Radio Slovakia International broadcasts worldwide on SW, satellites and Internet.
