Jay Carldon, host of Understanding Mortgages on WVNJ has been associated with the real estate industry for 26 years. While attending the University of Arizona in Tucson, he was a Real Estate agent. Upon graduating, Jay returned to his home state of NJ and began employment as a Loan Officer in 1981. Jay has been the Branch Manager of one of the most successful branches nationwide for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for the last 3 years. Jay has also been a columnist for the Gannett newspaper, "The Courier News", a columnist for the publication, "Harmon Homes" and an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University teaching a Masters Degree class on real estate finance. Over the years, Jay Carldon has helped over 4000 people to achieve the dream of home ownership.
