Each show features a previously recorded live concert performance of one of today's most progressive minded artists. Many of the featured performers have enjoyed some popular success while others are redefining the underground. All of them are blurring the genre lines of popular music. The performances range from the humorous, idealistic, and unusually motivational spoken word of Henry Rollins to Puya, a group from puerto rico that runs traditional salsa music head first into a wall of heavy metal. As music trends morph, UBR is there to record it, forming a conduit between the artists and the radio stations.
