For an hour every Sunday night, Malcolm Laycock celebrates the 'Age Of Swing'. After having inherited the late Alan Dell's Dance Band Days and Big Band Era programmes, Malcolm now combines the best ingredients of both these much-loved and long running series, adding his own special touch. The heritage of both British and American music from the 30s provides the basis for the programme, featuring all the great names from both sides of the Atlantic, plus all those who continued to carry the torch when the Swing era came of age. The programme also includes current bands working in the 'classic' idiom, and special features such as occasional interviews, and CD reviews.
